Fornati Bedell, M.D., M.H.S., chose City of Hope® because it reflects her belief in treating each patient with compassion and leading-edge care. Her heart for service has taken her from community clinics in Washington, D.C., to performing surgery in Mongolia — always with the goal of making health care more accessible for all.
“Having lived in Liberia for some time of my life growing up, I realized there was a significant lack of health care and witnessed people's lives being affected by this,” she says. “Living in America, this proved to be true as well.”
Dr. Bedell earned her medical degree from Georgetown University and a Master of Health Science at Johns Hopkins University. She went on to complete surgical and urology residencies at the University of Maryland.
She currently cares for patients at City of Hope’s Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita locations.
