Farid Zehtab, DO, FACS, FACOS, is a general surgeon at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix, where he works closely with patients’ cancer care teams to integrate innovative surgical treatments into cancer care plans.
Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery, Dr. Zehtab has expertise in open, laparoscopic and robotic surgery. He has a particular focus on hernia repair procedures and is a dedicated clinician whose goal is to improve his patients’ quality of life by using the most advanced surgical approaches available.
After earning his medical degree at the Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California, Dr. Zehtab pursued his internship and residency in Dayton, Ohio, at Kettering Health, where he also served as chief resident.
Dr. Zehtab is a member of multiple professional associations, including the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons. In addition to English, Dr. Zehtab speaks fluent Farsi.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family of six and playing pickleball.
