Chief, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine
Farhad Mazdisnian, MD, serves as clinical professor and chief of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. A board-certified lung and critical care specialist with more than two decades of experience, Dr. Mazdisnian has held multiple leadership positions in his field, including more than 10 years managing pulmonary and critical care services at the VA Healthcare System in Long Beach, California.
Dr. Mazdisnian earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, then completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, and at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Mazdisnian went on to complete a residency and fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of California, Irvine. In addition, he holds a pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California and is a fellow of the College of Chest Physicians.
Throughout his career, Dr. Mazdisnian has been recognized for excellence in both patient care and teaching, receiving honors such as Physician of the Year and Outstanding Teacher of Physicians. He has also authored nearly two dozen research papers and presentations that have contributed to advancements in his field.
