Dr. Cindy Chau Tran chose to pursue a career in cancer care after witnessing her father’s battle with lymphoma. Inspired by his and other patients’ resilience and hope, Dr. Tran is now a medical oncologist and hematologist at City of Hope® | Corona, where she helps diagnose and treat a wide range of cancer types and stages.
Dr. Tran has an extensive background in conducting cancer research and clinical trials, including projects targeting breast and ovarian cancers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, as well as collaborative studies with the National Cancer Institute. She remains passionate about the future of cancer care and helping patients keep hope alive.
She received her medical degree from Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio, then went on to complete an internship at Alameda County Hospital, affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco, and an internal medicine residency at the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles. Dr. Tran then pursued a hematology/oncology fellowship at USC’s Norris Cancer Center and University Hospital.
