D.O.
Physician
Caroline Ho, D.O., became a doctor out of a deep desire to help others and a love of solving complex medical challenges. She believes in caring for the whole person and serving as a strong advocate for her patients.
At City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, Dr. Ho specializes in infectious diseases, with a focus on caring for patients whose immune systems are weakened — such as those with blood cancers or who have undergone stem cell transplants. Her research aims to prevent and better treat infections like cytomegalovirus after transplantation and to improve treatment options for people with nontuberculous mycobacterial lung disease.
She earned her osteopathic degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, where she received the Francois T. Hoang Memorial Scholarship for academic excellence. Before medical school, Dr. Ho worked in a lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and co-authored a Science study that identified a key gene — melanocortin receptor accessory protein 2 (Mrap2) — involved in obesity.
A native of Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley, Dr. Ho is proud to care for patients in the community she calls home.
