Boryana Eastman, MD, PhD, views caring for her patients at City of Hope^® Antelope Valley as a collaborative process, guiding them through their treatment choices, helping them determine the path that best fits their needs and offering support throughout the journey. In her role of radiation oncologist, she finds great fulfillment in listening to and spending time with her patients while bringing deep expertise in a wide range of advanced radiation techniques. 

Fluent in Bulgarian, Dr. Eastman earned her PhD in biomedical sciences at the University of California, San Diego, where her research focused on breast cancer metastasis. She went on to complete her medical training at the same institution, followed by an internship in internal medicine. During her radiation oncology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, she developed a strong interest in managing cancers that spread to the brain. Her clinical work emphasizes not only treating cancer but also preserving quality of life. 

Outside of medicine, Dr. Eastman enjoys hiking, camping and traveling.
