About Me

Avneet Kaur, M.D., is an infectious disease specialist whose passion for medicine is rooted in her commitment to equity and ensuring all communities have access to excellent health care. At City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, she is especially dedicated to caring for patients who are immunocompromised, including those who have received blood stem cell transplants. Her goal is to ease the challenges her patients face by providing evidence-based care and helping them clearly understand their treatment options.

Along with her clinical work, Dr. Kaur conducts research focused on how infections affect immunocompromised patients and on preventing resistance to antifungal therapies. During her infectious disease fellowship at State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, she was honored with a certificate of bravery for her service to COVID-19 patients during the pandemic.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kaur enjoys traveling, singing, dancing, reading and volunteering to feed the hungry.

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
