Ashwin Kashyap, M.D., is a medical oncologist and hematologist at City of Hope^® Cancer Center Duarte. Dr. Kashyap was inspired to become a physician by his experiences with a childhood doctor who treated him with exceptional kindness. 

“His care made a profound difference for me and my family,” Dr. Kashyap recalls. “He inspired me to pursue medicine and extend that same compassion to others.” 

Patients now speak just as highly of Dr. Kashyap, praising both his clinical expertise and his warmth and empathy and genuine concern for people’s health and overall well-being. Originally from the United Kingdom, Dr. Kashyap earned his medical degree and completed his internship at University College London. He went on to a residency at Williamstown Hospital in Australia and another at the University of Rochester in New York, where he also pursued fellowships in both hematology and medical oncology. 

Dr. Kashyap is excited to return to City of Hope, where he was previously a valued member of the hematology and stem cell transplantation team. In addition to his academic and clinical roles, he has worked in the private sector on the development and evaluation of innovative cancer therapies.
