Anna Pawlowska, M.D., is a professor of pediatrics and leads the Pediatric Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation Program at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte as section chief.
She specializes in caring for children and young adults who need stem cell transplants for both cancerous and non-cancerous conditions. Her research focuses on creating novel strategies to improve outcomes, with a special interest in leukemia and sickle cell anemia.
Dr. Pawlowska earned her medical degree from the University School of Medicine in Poznan, Poland. After moving to the United States, she completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Colorado Health Sciences and a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology at the University of Minnesota. She joined City of Hope in 2000 and has led the pediatric stem cell transplant program since 2011. She also serves as President of Medical Staff and contributes to several committees that guide research at City of Hope.
Widely respected in her field, Dr. Pawlowska has published extensively and is often invited to share her expertise at national and international conferences.
