An Nguyen, M.D., is an endocrinologist and assistant clinical professor at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where she focuses on guiding patients living with diabetes and other hormonal disorders as they manage their health and make informed decisions to support their long-term well-being.
Dr. Nguyen was drawn to medicine by her fascination with science and a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. She gravitated toward endocrinology because it offered her the opportunity to work closely with patients across a wide spectrum of chronic and often complex conditions. Her clinical philosophy blends compassionate, individualized care with a strong foundation in the latest evidence-based treatments and innovations in endocrine health.
She earned her medical degree from the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in New York, then took on a postgraduate residency in internal medicine at Scripps Clinic and Scripps Green Hospital in San Diego, followed by a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco.
Throughout her career, Dr. Nguyen has been acknowledged for both her clinical service and research, including honors from the Endocrine Fellow Foundation. She is actively involved in endocrine health research and has contributed to peer-reviewed studies and multiple national medical conferences.
