Alexander Chehrazi-Raffle, MD, is a medical oncologist specializing in genitourinary cancers at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. Dr. Chehrazi-Raffle was inspired to pursue a medical career in part after observing physicians at work during high school. This experience showed him how profoundly a doctor can influence their patients’ lives.
Dr. Chehrazi-Raffle diagnoses and treats a wide range of genitourinary cancers and is committed to a patient-centered approach in which individuals actively help shape their treatment plan. His focus is on educating, guiding and advocating for patients, with the aim of improving outcomes and building lasting, trusting relationships.
A physician-scholar, Dr. Chehrazi-Raffle has authored more than a dozen peer-reviewed case reports and research publications. During his fellowship at City of Hope, he became a co-investigator on four active clinical trials before joining the faculty and his work on a precision-medicine study predicting treatment response in advanced kidney cancer was published in the Journal of Immunotherapy of Cancer, earning a merit award at the International Kidney Cancer Symposium.
