Alan Langerak, MD, is a board-certified Medical Oncologist and Hematologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Prescott. Dr. Langerak helps diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of cancer types and stages, but with a particular focus on treating breast, lung and genitourinary cancers.
Dedicated to a personalized and compassionate approach to cancer care, Dr. Langerak has 25 years’ experience in his field and has held multiple teaching and clinical appointments with cancer centers and health care providers across the country. Before joining City of Hope, he held positions as a medical oncologist-hematologist at a Prescott-area oncology group and medical center.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, Dr. Langerak remained there to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine — serving as chief resident in his final year — followed by a fellowship in hematology-oncology. He is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncologists and the American Society of Hematology and is a former president of the Oklahoma Society of Clinical Oncology.
Outside of City of Hope, Dr. Langerak enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and traveling the world.
