About Me

Ahmed M. Aribi, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Leukemia, part of the Department of Hematology & Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. 

Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Aribi completed fellowship training at both the University of California, Los Angeles, and MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. His residency and internship took place at Southern University in Springfield, Illinois, while he earned his medical degree at the Alfateh University School of Medicine in Libya. Prior to joining City of Hope, Dr. Aribi served as an instructor in the Department of Leukemia within the Division of Cancer Medicine at MD Anderson.

"This was my first visit with this provider. I appreciated that labs were ordered, but I left with some skepticism because I was told with strong certainty what I do or don't have before the test results were even available. While I understand the provider's expertise, this made me feel like my history and concerns (including family history) weren't fully acknowledged.I would have valued more discussion about options, risks, and alternatives, especially since I try to avoid unnecessary medications whenever possible and prefer to understand all of my choices. Clearer communication and more engagement in decision-making would help me feel more confident in my care."
