About Me

Adam Rock, M.D., is a medical oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte. Dr. Rock’s passion for cancer care was shaped early in life, in part thanks to a childhood spent in a family of healthcare providers. Witnessing how impactful the connection between a doctor and their patient can be, Dr. Rock dedicated his professional life to providing compassionate, leading-edge care to patients with a wide range of cancers.

Dr. Rock joined City of Hope in 2022 as a fellow and went on to a full-time role as a clinical provider and researcher. He was drawn to the institution’s patient-centered mission and its reputation for excellence in both patient care and research. He values the opportunity to work alongside experts across different specialties, combining the latest scientific advances with a deeply personal approach to treatment. Dr. Rock’s research includes contributing to the design and leadership of 10 clinical trials, which have helped bring new therapies to the forefront of cancer care.

After completing his residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago, where his work earned him the American Society of Hematology’s Abstract Achievement Award, Dr. Rock went on to a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California, where he also served as chief fellow.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
