Abhishek Tripathi, M.D., is a medical oncologist at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, where he serves alongside other experts in urologic cancers to create personalized treatment plans for patients with a wide range of diseases.
Inspired by an early passion for biology and his parents’ work in the field of health care, Dr. Tripathi is committed to a compassionate, individualized approach to cancer care that reflects each patient’s specific diagnosis, as well as their personal goals, values, and preferences. He joined City of Hope in 2022 after several years at the University of Oklahoma Stephenson Cancer Center in Oklahoma City, where he held faculty positions and led several clinical trials. He launched four of these trials as the principal investigator and has contributed extensively to the scientific literature through peer-reviewed publications.
While completing his oncology/hematology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts in Springfield, Dr. Tripathi served as chief fellow. He also received the Conquer Cancer Foundation of ASCO Merit Award at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s (ASCO) symposium on genitourinary cancers in 2017 and was chosen for a competitive clinical cancer research workshop co-hosted by ASCO and the American Association for Cancer Research.
