Why we are different

With breakthroughs and discoveries changing the course of care, deciding which treatment is right for you is critical. At CTCA® Tulsa, our cancer experts treat patients with standard-of-care and state-of-the-art tools and techniques. Our medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and other clinicians deliver treatments all under one roof, so you don’t have to drive around to multiple locations for treatment visits or doctor appointments. At the same time, we add evidence-informed supportive therapies to your personalized treatment plan, to help you manage cancer-related side effects and maintain the strength and stamina you need to continue treatment and get back to your life.

Each patient is assigned a multidisciplinary care team, led by a medical oncologist and coordinated by an oncology nurse, who answers your questions, manages your treatment schedule and assists in the logistics involved in the cancer journey. We may also offer clinical trials to patients who qualify.

As part of our commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people we serve, we invest in the local communities we call home, partnering with and supporting a wide variety of organizations that help cancer patients and focus on bettering our communities. In addition, learn how you can help serve cancer patients directly by volunteering at CTCA Tulsa.

Patient-focused expert care

At CTCA, our mission to provide individualized, whole-person care to our patients is core to our patient-centered model of care. That’s why we have developed teams of experts who focus on one specific cancer type, all in one location. Both the CTCA Lung Cancer Center and the CTCA Breast Cancer Center in Tulsa reflect that commitment, bringing together multidisciplinary teams of doctors and other clinicians experienced in helping patients fight a complex disease. This focused approach allows our clinicians to stay up to date on emerging and state-of-the-art treatment options, using that expertise in collaborating on each patient's care plan and making adjustments when necessary. Our goal is to deliver care personalized to each patient’s individualized needs and cancer type, while helping patients make informed decisions about the road ahead.

Knowing that fighting cancer is only part of the battle, our Lung Cancer Center and Breast Cancer Center teams also include integrative care clinicians who may suggest evidence-informed supportive therapies, including nutrition, mind-body medicine, oncology rehabilitation, pain management, spiritual support and sexual wellness counseling, to help patients manage the side effects of cancer or its treatment, to support their strength, stamina and quality of life.

U.S. News & World Report names CTCA Tulsa high-performing hospital for colon cancer and lung cancer surgery

Each year, U.S. News & World Report evaluates the performance of nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide in colon and lung cancer surgery using data on patient survival, nurse staffing, volume and more. Hospitals receive one of three ratings: high-performing, average or below-average.

For 2019-20 and again in 2020-21, CTCA Tulsa received the highest possible ranking for both colon cancer and lung cancer surgery, named a “high-performing” hospital in this category
