Why we are different

With breakthroughs and discoveries changing the course of care, deciding which treatment is right for you is critical. At Cancer Treatment Centers of America®, our cancer experts treat patients with standard-of-care and state-of-the-art tools and techniques. Our medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons and other clinicians deliver treatments all under one roof, so you don’t have to drive around to multiple locations for treatment visits or doctor appointments. At the same time, we add evidence-informed supportive therapies to your personalized treatment plan, to help you manage cancer-related side effects and maintain the strength and stamina you need to continue treatment and get back to your life.

Each patient is assigned a multidisciplinary care team, led by a medical oncologist and coordinated by an oncology nurse, who answers your questions, manages your treatment schedule and assists in the logistics involved in the cancer journey. We may also offer clinical trials to patients who qualify.

Patient-focused expert care

At CTCA, our mission to provide individualized, whole-person care to our patients is core to our patient-centered model of care. That’s why we have developed teams of experts who focus on one specific cancer type, all in one location. This focused approach allows our clinicians to stay up to date on emerging and state-of-the-art treatment options, using that expertise in collaborating on each patient's care plan and making adjustments when necessary. Our goal is to deliver care personalized to each patient’s individualized needs and cancer type, while helping patients make informed decisions about the road ahead.

Knowing that fighting cancer is only part of the battle, our Cancer Center teams also include integrative care clinicians who may suggest evidence-informed supportive therapies, including nutrition, mind-body medicine, oncology rehabilitation, pain management, spiritual support and sexual wellness counseling, to help patients manage the side effects of cancer or its treatment, to support their strength, stamina and quality of life.

What is cancer?

Cancer is complex. It is not one disease, but many, each with its own set of characteristics, signs, symptoms, risk factors and treatment needs. No two cancers, like not two patients, are exactly alike. Learn more about how cancer forms, how the body changes when it develops and when it's treated here: What is cancer?
