Becoming a Patient

Immediate In

Immediate in program

A cancer diagnosis needs immediate attention. No matter the type of cancer or its stage, it’s important to get a quick and accurate diagnosis and an appointment with a cancer expert so you can start on a treatment plan as soon as possible.

Patients in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin can get a second opinion about their cancer diagnosis or treatment options in as little as 24 to 72 hours with the Immediate In Program at City of Hope Chicago.

Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) is now City of Hope®, joining forces to expand patient access to personalized, comprehensive cancer care.

The program consists of two fast and simple steps:

  1. With one phone call to (855) 928-4590, you can get your insurance verified, appointment scheduled and your case reviewed by a nurse navigator
  2. At your convenience, you can drive to our hospital in Zion, where you’ll be seen by physicians appropriate for your diagnosis. *

* Note: Patients may be required to have certain medical records on hand, including a pathology report, their latest oncologist evaluation and/or diagnostic images.

Personalized care that fits your schedule

A cancer diagnosis can be stressful and impact your life in many ways. Knowing you have a team of cancer experts a short drive away may help ease some of the burden of undergoing multiple tests and juggling your appointments.

With our Immediate In Program, you can schedule your visit within one to three days of your initial call at a time that’s convenient for you. Rather than staying at the hospital for tests, you can go home after each appointment and return at a time of your choosing. Immediate In gives you access to the quality cancer care you deserve with the flexibility you need to plan your treatment around your life.
