About Me

Nicole Smith, MSW, APSW, LSW, is a member of the social work and behavioral health teams at City of Hope® Cancer Center Chicago.

Working alongside cancer experts and other behavioral health team members, Smith supports patients from diagnosis through treatment and into recovery. Her role focuses on providing emotional health support for patients and their loved ones, as well as helping with logistical issues. These can include help finding resources for financial or housing assistance, arranging in-home care or transportation, and connecting caregivers with local or community support network.

Smith completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, then earned her Master of Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago. Married with two daughters, she enjoys cooking, baking and party planning.
