About Me

The Rev. Jeffrey Paparone joined City of Hope Phoenix because he believes that, “the aesthetics of the hospital and the people always wearing warm smiles and offering hugs helps make us different.”

Rev. Paparone earned a bachelor’s of science in community health from Slippery Rock University in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. He then went on to complete a master’s of divinity from Asbury Theology Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky.

Prior to joining City of Hope, Rev. Paparone was a spiritual care coordinator/chaplain in Sun City West with Hospice of Arizona. He also served as an associate pastor at Arizona Light and Life Conference.

“My overall goal is for the patient to know that they are a person and a child of God, not just a number,” says Rev. Paparone. “And because of this, they deserve the very best we as Stakeholders can give.” In addition to appreciating the Mother Standard® of Care, Rev. Paparone also enjoys the integrative and holistic approach offered at City of Hope.

“I believe one’s faith not only aids in the healing process, but at times faith can actually heal one’s disease,” says Rev. Paparone. “At the very least, patients with faith seem to cope better with the diagnosis and prognosis of their disease, treatment and rehabilitation.”

Married for more than a decade, Rev. Paparone and his wife adopted two boys from Colombia, South America. “Charlie and Oscar are such a blessing,” says Rev. Paparone of his sons. In his free time, Rev. Paparone enjoys coaching his boys in their sporting activities, and also likes to play golf and umpire baseball.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
