Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) Atlanta held a breast cancer screening event on October 14, 2021. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, CTCA Atlanta held the event to provide additional times and availability beyond its normal screening schedule.
“There are familiar cancers that occur, but still the vast majority of breast cancers are random events that just occur,” said Dr. Henry Krebs interventional and diagnostic radiologist at CTCA Atlanta. “For that reason, it’s extremely important that we have screening tools and screening studies that find breast cancer in its earliest form.”
