Accomplished nurse and proven healthcare leader rises to position on the CTCA Leadership Team
Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Chicago has named Adrienne Schultz, MSN, RN, HN-BC, vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer. Schultz previously served as assistant vice president of patient care services at CTCA® Chicago. In her new role, Schultz will be responsible for the strategic direction, integration, professional practice, evaluation and fiscal operations of nursing and patient care services. She will also ensure that the CTCA® Chicago nursing program continues to move forward in accordance with Magnet® principles and nursing excellence.

In her previous role at CTCA, Schultz oversaw multiple departments and was instrumental in the transition of operations into the Inpatient Tower, assisted with two Magnet designations and the prestigious Press Ganey® Guardian of Excellence Award. Additionally, she launched the CTCA® Chicago University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee partnership program and spearheaded the development of the CTCA® Chicago Quality of Life program. Prior to joining CTCA, Schultz served in a leadership capacity at University Hospitals of Cleveland, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and HCR ManorCare.

Schultz earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Case Western University and her Master of Science in Nursing with a nurse executive concentration from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She is active in the American College of Healthcare Executives, American Nurses Association, Oncology Nursing Society and the Illinois Nurses Association.
Schultz is a board member for the Coalition for Healthy Communities and a food pantry volunteer. Additionally, she serves as a volunteer for Warren Township Cheer and Pom Association and spends time with the Gurnee Youth Baseball League.
