City of Hope Chicago | August 15, 2018

Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) Chicago is proud to announce Marie Allen as the new president of the CTCA® Chicago Board of Directors. The appointment follows Allen’s eight years of service as a member of the board, including the past three years of concurrent service on the CTCA Comprehensive Cancer Care Network National Board of Directors.

“It’s an honor and privilege to serve CTCA patients and families,” said Allen. “I look forward to supporting continued growth and expansion of the CTCA patient care footprint as we implement and refine strategies to support as many patients as possible.”

In her new role, Allen will focus on fostering the growth of CTCA Chicago Outpatient Care Centers across the larger metropolis. Earlier this year, the first CTCA Chicago Outpatient Care Center opened on East Illinois Street in Chicago (one block east of Michigan Avenue) to provide patients with convenient and immediate access to advanced technology, oncology consultation and integrative cancer care. Additionally, the CTCA Comprehensive Care and Research Center in suburban Chicago continues to reach new milestones with the launch of The TAPUR Study™, Magnet® reaccreditation, recertification for the American Society of Clinical Oncology Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) and more.

“CTCA remains committed to delivering clinical excellence, innovation and patient-centered care, and Marie’s business acumen, extensive knowledge in health care/physician practice management and organizational development adds tremendous value to these efforts,” said Scott Jones, president and CEO, CTCA Chicago. “As board president for the CTCA Chicago region and a continued member of our national board, her leadership holds ongoing importance for the patients and families we serve.”
