About Me

In July 2022, Dr. Youssef Soliman joined City of Hope in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Gastroenterologist at City of Hope, Dr. Soliman collaborates with other cancer experts on a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and treat patients fighting cancers specific to the gastrointestinal tract, helping them create a personalized treatment plan customized to their needs and goals. He's particularly interested in inflammatory bowel diseases and gastrointestinal conditions that may raise the risk for cancer.

“I love to learn new things and stay up to date with new advances and technology,” says Dr. Soliman, adding that he translates this love into ensuring that his patients are informed of the range of options available to them, “so we can work closely together in making decisions about their treatment and care.”

Dr. Soliman earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine in Saba, Dutch Caribbean, followed by an internal medicine residency at Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York. He completed a gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine in Roanoke, Virginia, where he specialized in gastrointestinal conditions and developed skills in endoscopic diagnosis and treatment techniques.

Dr. Soliman says he was drawn to City of Hope because he “wanted to work with collegial, multidisciplinary providers driven to enhance patient care,” adding that he is especially pleased to partner with a strong, growing gastroenterology team.

Outside City of Hope, in addition to spending time with his family, Dr. Soliman enjoys soccer, especially rooting for Liverpool FC.

Patient reviews
The patient ratings and comments on this page are obtained from an external Press Ganey® outpatient survey provided to all eligible City of Hope patients within one to two weeks of their treatment occurrence. Raw data from the answers to the survey questions about our physicians are calculated by Press Ganey into a one- to five- star rating. In the spirit of transparency, all patient comments are posted as written by the patient, whether they are positive or negative. We only exclude comments if they are deemed to be slanderous or libelous, contain profanity or vulgar language, or do not relate to the patient's experience with the doctor involved. As a result, the comments are the views and opinions of the patients surveyed and are not endorsed by, and may not necessarily reflect the opinion of, City of Hope.
