“I make every effort to support the needs and wishes of each patient,” says Dr. Carl Valentin, Radiologist at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA).
Dr. Valentin earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1997 and completed his Doctor of Medicine at Rush Medical College, also in Chicago, in 2002. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Chicago, followed by a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the same institution. Dr. Valentin has worked as an attending radiologist since 2008. He joined CTCA® in January 2017.
During his training, Dr. Valentin received awards for basic science research and teaching. He has presented his research at professional conferences and has studies published in World Journal of Surgery, Seminars in Interventional Radiology and Journal of Surgical Research, among others.
Dr. Valentin is board certified in diagnostic radiology & vascular and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology. He is licensed to practice medicine by the State of Illinois.
A former competitive cyclist, Dr. Valentin still enjoys cycling, along with music and spending time with his family.
