About Me

Elissar Zeineddine, PA-C, joined City of Hope® in September 2023 as a Physician Assistant with the surgical oncology team, helping to prepare and educate patients as they transition through pre- and post-operative care, primarily working at City of Hope Cancer Center Chicago.

Zeineddine was first inspired to pursue a career in medicine when she observed an operation at City of Hope, so she was thrilled by the opportunity to join City of Hope team after becoming a certified Physician Assistant.

“Being back at City of Hope following my studies marks a full-circle journey for which I am forever grateful,” Zeineddine says.

While completing her Bachelor of Science in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology at the University of Florida (UF) in Gainesville, Florida, Zeineddine served as a volunteer emergency medical technician for UF’s Gator Emergency Response Unit, a student-run, 24-hour EMS department. After graduating from UF, she interned with an integrative medicine practice in Gainesville before working as a Critical Care Technician at Shands Hospital Emergency Department at the University of Florida.

Zeineddine earned her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Rosalind Franklin University in North Chicago, Illinois, in June 2023, and got her license to practice in Illinois in July 2023. She completed clinical rotations in a variety of areas, including general surgery, internal medicine, and cardiology.

Outside of City of Hope, Zeineddine is an avid fitness lover, prioritizing staying active because she believes that exercise “nourishes the body and soul.”

Zeineddine also enjoys cooking, sewing, and Levantine folk dance, and even founded a Dabke folk dance team at UF. She also enjoys spending her free time with her twin brother and loving parents.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
