Circulating tumor cells (CTC) tests can be used to monitor metastatic breast, colorectal and prostate cancers.
This diagnostic test helps us capture, identify and count circulating tumor cells in a blood sample. CTCs are cancer cells that detach from solid tumors and enter the blood stream. The blood test may be performed prior to the start of therapy and any time during the course of treatment.
CTC tests help us monitor the progression of metastatic cancer.
