Shannon Allison, Physical Therapist, was drawn to the commitment of care provided at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. “Being a physical therapist is one of the most enjoyable and satisfying jobs. It is a delight helping patients improve their quality of life and achieve their milestones,” she says.
Allison joined CTCA® in November 2013. She focuses on empowering patients to help themselves and improve their quality of life. For patients receiving breast cancer treatments, she performs a variety of interventions to help restore range of motion, increase strength and treat lymphedema. For head and neck cancer patients, Allison performs myofascial release techniques, lymphedema treatments and therapeutic exercises to improve their ability to eat and swallow. She also treats a variety of orthopedic, musculoskeletal and neurological dysfunctions.
Allison earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physiology from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She also completed a Bachelor of Honors degree in physical therapy at Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Allison is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association, the Oklahoma Physical Therapy Association and the Oklahoma Society of Clinical Oncology.
Outside of CTCA, Allison enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, yoga, interior decorating and traveling.

Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
