He strives to help patients and caregivers stay well-informed, as he sees this as crucial to achieving good outcomes. “We provide up-to-date approaches in an atmosphere that is friendly and supportive,” says Dr. Cook.

Dr. Cook has been providing medical care for more than two decades. After earning his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University, Dr. Cook attended the University Of Oklahoma College Of Medicine, where he completed his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1990. He remained there for a three-year residency in internal medicine. After several years in a small clinic, he ran a private practice in Oklahoma associated with a regional hospital. Later he worked as internal medicine physician in a variety of hospital settings, treating a wide range of medical issues including follow-up care after medical emergencies. He joined CTCA® in 2014.  Dr. Cook is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

When he is not at CTCA, Dr. Cook enjoys spending time with his wife and their three grown children, as well as kayaking, hiking, backpacking and traveling.

Patient ratings and comments

Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
