Places to visit in Newnan
CTCA® is located just steps away from Newnan’s Ashley Park Shopping Center, which offers shopping, restaurants and a movie theater. Our shuttle makes frequent trips between the hospital, nearby hotels and Ashley Park for your convenience.
Historic Downtown Newnan: Among other attractions in downtown Newnan, you’ll find the 1904 Coweta County Courthouse. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP), the courthouse dome rises 100 feet above street level.
Male Academy Museum: Maintained by the Newnan – Coweta Historical Society, this museum is housed in a former boys' private school dating from 1840. Inside you’ll find period clothing, Native American artifacts, treasured furniture, Civil War artifacts and more.
Oak Hill Cemetery: Also listed on the NRHP, Oak Hill Cemetery served as the final resting place of soldiers who did not survive the Civil War
The Newnan Theatre Company: Newnan’s local theater company produces eight to 10 show a year for both adults and children.
