- About Me
Stephanie Pershina joined City of Hope Atlanta in July 2019. As a nurse practitioner, she is focused on managing individualized treatment plans for cancer patients. Pershina is part of a multidisciplinary team focused on providing whole-person care.
At City of Hope, Pershina integrates her skills, knowledge and caring attitude to provide care to patients with thoracic cancers. She is responsible for continuity of care, throughout diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. Pershina helps to coordinate procedures and treatments, while helping patients manage any side effects. She works closely with a team of dedicated doctors and clinicians regularly communicating and collaborating with each other.
“Through open communication, I truly get to know my patients,” says Pershina. “Working at City of Hope has strengthened my values and faith. I am blessed to learn so much from the patients I treat.”
Pershina graduated from Robert Morris University in Moon Township, Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. She obtained a Master of Science degree in nursing education from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pershina obtained a Master of Science degree in nursing to become a family nurse practitioner at Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked in various hospital and clinic settings prior to joining City of Hope.
Outside of City of Hope, Pershina enjoys spending time with her fiancé and four dogs. She also likes being outdoors, riding bikes, running and reading. Pershina often returns to Pittsburgh to visit her family and can often be found cheering for the Steelers and West Virginia University football.
- Patient ratings
- Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
