Dr. Nilan Naik joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Tulsa, in August 2020 as a Radiation Oncologist, providing innovative radiation therapies to help patients fight cancer. Dr. Naik is part of a team offering comprehensive cancer care, with doctors and clinicians working together and coordinating care for personalized patient treatment.

Dr. Naik delivers targeted radiation therapies for the treatment of many types and stages of cancer, using sophisticated technologies to improve the benefits of radiation therapy while reducing side effects. He focuses on providing personalized care, delivering advanced treatment options when appropriate and empowering his patients with information about their disease and the options available to them.

Dr. Naik believes it’s important to get to know his patients and discuss their diagnosis and treatment options. “I take as much time as needed to thoroughly explain the information and answer their questions with clarity,” he says. “I strive to treat my patients like family and provide them with a patient-centered approach to care so they are empowered to make informed decisions and feel at ease. I want to be there for them throughout their cancer journey.”

Dr. Naik received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Columbia University in New York, New York, then earned his medical degree from the University of Texas School of Medicine at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas. He completed an internship in general surgery at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, and completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas, with integrated rotations at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Houston Methodist Hospitals, serving as the chief resident in his final year. Dr. Naik has a background in clinical research and has co-authored several publications. He also brings extensive experience in brachytherapy.

Outside of CTCA®, Dr. Naik likes spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys watching sports, hiking, running and watersports on the lake. His hobbies also include traveling and photography.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
