In January 2019, Major Zaid Fadul joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Phoenix, Arizona. As an Inpatient Medical Director and focused on hospitalist medicine at CTCA®, Dr. Fadul evaluates and treats patients with various types and stages of cancer. He and the rest of the care team collaborate with doctors and clinicians to provide whole-person, patient-centered care for patients.

At CTCA, Dr. Fadul serves as a liaison between the Oncology Clinic and Inpatient Unit at the hospital. He works closely with other care team members, evaluating and treating inpatients at the hospital. Dr. Fadul manages medical issues that may accompany cancer and treatment recovery. Although he specializes in family medicine, he is also interested in aerospace medicine and addiction medicine.

“My goal is to provide compassionate and personalized care and help patients transition out of the hospital,” says Dr. Fadul. “I hope when they are discharged that they had a positive experience and feel more educated about their disease and treatment.”

Dr. Fadul received a bachelor’s degree in finance and international business administration from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. He earned a medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies, then completed a family medicine residency at Stamford Hospital, Columbia University in Stamford, Connecticut.

Board certified in family practice and addiction medicine, Dr. Fadul has practiced in a variety of health care settings since 2013. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Board of Family Medicine, American Academy of Family Physicians, American Board of Additional Medicine and American Society of Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Fadul is a flight surgeon with the Air Force, focused on occupational medicine, and a proud father of a young son who enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is also a certified SCUBA diver and a professional wildlife photographer with multiple magazine publications and awards.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
