Dr. Larry W. Kwak is a world-renowned cancer expert who has led groundbreaking research into the development of immunology and cancer vaccines, with a particular focus on blood cancers like lymphoma and myeloma.
Dr. Kwak holds multiple positions at City of Hope® Cancer Center Duarte, including roles as a professor of leukemia, vice-president and deputy director of City of Hope Duarte, director of the Toni Stephenson Lymphoma Center and the Dr. Michael Friedman professor in translational medicine. Prior to this, he led major research efforts in the fields of myeloma and lymphoma at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. In 2010, Dr. Kwak was honored as one of Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People.”
