In March 2019, Dr. Hemant Sindhu joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) at the Gilbert Outpatient Care Center in Arizona. As a medical oncologist, Dr. Sindhu evaluates and treats patients with various types and stages of cancer.

At CTCA®, Dr. Sindhu works with each patient to develop an integrative and personalized treatment plan. He educates his patients and their family members, to help them understand their treatment options. Dr. Sindhu wants them to feel comfortable asking questions and sharing their concerns. This empowers his patients to take an active role in the treatment decision-making process.

“The patient-centered approach to care is what drew me here,” Dr. Sindhu says. “Working collaboratively with other doctors and supportive care clinicians, provides seamless whole-person care for our patients.”

Dr. Sindhu received a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from the California State University in Long Beach, California. He earned a medical degree from the Ross University School of Medicine in Miramar, Florida. Dr. Sindhu completed an internal medicine residency at New York Medical College and Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He went on to complete a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the same hospital and served as Chief Fellow.

Board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology, Dr. Sindhu has practiced in a variety of healthcare settings since 2015. He is an active member of several professional organizations including American Society of Hematology, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Medical Association.

Outside of CTCA, Dr. Sindhu enjoys spending time with friends and family. He also likes traveling and cooking.

Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
