Dr. Choon-Kee Lee joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Atlanta, Georgia in August 2019. Dr. Lee is dedicated to providing cancer care that is compassionate and personalized. He believes that patients benefit from whole-person care at CTCA®, which not only fights cancer but helps maximize quality of life.

“The most rewarding part of my practice is providing help and support to patients and families throughout their cancer journey,” says Dr. Lee. “My goal is to have open and honest communication, so that I understand each individual’s goals and values. I take time to answer any questions and I empower my patients which information about their treatment options.”

Dr. Lee strives to provide personalized care and to keep patients and their families informed throughout treatment, so they can make educated decisions about care. He works with many different cancer types, including solid tumors and hematologic malignancies. Dr. Lee incorporates genomic testing, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, chemotherapy and other available treatments.

Board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine, Dr. Lee earned a medical degree from Chonnam National University Medical School in Gwangju, South Korea. He completed an internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology fellowship at Chonnam University Hospital in Chonnam, South Korea. Additionally, Dr. Lee completed a fellowship in hematology/oncology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Dr. Lee is a member of several of professional medical organizations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology. He had previously been a professor and taught at university medical schools.

Outside of CTCA, Dr. Lee likes long distance running and classical music. He enjoys spending time with friends and family and living close to his youngest daughter and her husband.
