Dr. Brian Bianco joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in September 2019. As Director of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at our Philadelphia hospital, Dr. Bianco uses imaging and minimally invasive techniques to guide the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, helping to manage pain, reduce infection rates and improve recovery time for patients when possible.

Dr. Bianco believes in focusing on whole-person care to fight disease while managing quality of life with supportive care services. He works closely with patients to offer a wide range of diagnostic and treatment options to address each patient’s unique cancer and personal needs. At CTCA®, Dr. Bianco uses advanced options in interventional oncology, including, TheraSphere®, chemoembolization, radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation and cryoablation.

“I strive to provide open and honest communication with my patients and their families,” says Dr. Bianco. “My overall goal is to be a trusted member of their care team by offering minimally invasive treatment options, when possible, and recommending the appropriate tool, device or instrument for their particular procedure.”

Dr. Bianco received a Bachelor of Science degree from The College of New Jersey in Ewing, New Jersey. He earned a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and Master of Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Bianco completed an internship in internal medicine at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Bianco completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and served as chief resident at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology from Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Licensed in the states of New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Dr. Bianco has experience working in a variety of hospital and health care settings. He is an associate professor at Drexel University College of Medicine and a member of professional organizations, including the Society of Interventional Radiology and Philadelphia Angiography and Interventional Radiology Society.

Outside of CTCA, Dr. Bianco likes spending time with his wife and two children. He enjoys golf, tennis, traveling and participating in the kids’ activities.

Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers.
