In December 2014, Audrey Shaw joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Philadelphia as a Physician Assistant. She is dedicated to providing patient-centered care as the Physician Assistant and Practice Coordinator for the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Shaw works with patients in outpatient, inpatient and perioperative settings. She assists in a wide variety of complex cancer reconstruction surgeries including breast, head/neck, trunk and extremity reconstruction. Shaw also performs small inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Shaw believes in building a rapport with patients so they feel supported. “The patient and provider relationship is very unique at CTCA®,” Shaw says. “My goal is to educate my patients so they thoroughly understand their reconstruction options. I want them to feel confident to ask questions and share any concerns.”

Shaw earned a Bachelor of Science degree in bio-behavioral health at Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. She then completed a Master of Science degree in physician assistant studies at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining CTCA, Shaw was focused on internal medicine at a hospital in Pennsylvania. She is also a member of several professional associations, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants and American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

When Shaw is not at CTCA, she enjoys traveling, yoga and spending time with her family at the Shore and explore her hometown of Philadelphia.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
