In August 2019, Dr. Andrew Kim joined Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a Diagnostic Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist, Dr. Kim works with and utilizes state-of-the-art nuclear medicine radiopharmaceutical agents for disease detection and targeted therapeutic treatments. He works on a multidisciplinary team helping detect pathologies to formulate a diagnosis by utilizing advanced technologies with various modalities such as CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, X-rays, breast imaging and PET-CT scans.

“I am proud to be part of a collaborative team to help detect and treat cancer at CTCA,” says Dr. Kim. “My goal is to make sure patients are able to have open communication with me and feel respected. I want to help maximize their quality of life and promote recuperation.”

Dr. Kim received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He earned a medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. Dr. Kim completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He went on to complete a fellowship in radiology/nuclear medicine from New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center in New York, New York.

Dr. Kim is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He has an interest in clinical research and has contributed to several published articles. He continuously furthers his medical education to maintain, develop and increase his knowledge and skill set to better serve patients.

Outside of CTCA, Dr. Kim likes spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys golfing and traveling.
