The Critical Care Department at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Philadelphia, provides comprehensive and continuous care to critically ill or hospitalized patients through the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Our ICU provides specialized nursing care, including oncologic, surgical, cardiovascular, renal (including hemodialysis), infectious disease and respiratory care (including ventilator support). Patients in the ICU receive monitoring and care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our critical care team includes intensivists, physicians, critical care nurses, cardiopulmonary specialists and other experts. The team takes a multidisciplinary approach, and works closely with patients’ oncologists to provide streamlined, integrative care and attention.
