Vice President of Talent

Ted Ramirez is the Vice President of Talent for Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Phoenix. He is responsible for leading the hospital’s talent initiatives, including talent acquisition, succession planning, compensation, benefits, wellness and well-being, employee health, learning and development, and performance management. In addition, Ramirez is responsible for our Phoenix hospital's Lean Six Sigma program.

Ramirez joined the CTCA® start-up team in Phoenix, Arizona, in March 2008. He led the organization’s talent function to a successful hospital opening in December 2008, which included sourcing and selecting its 142 inaugural stakeholders. Today, the center is home to 698 stakeholders. Under Ramirez’s leadership, our hospital in Phoenix has received a number of employee workplace awards, including 100 Best Companies in Arizona, Best Place to Work, Most Admired Company and Healthiest Employer.

Prior to joining CTCA, Ramirez was a Director of Human Resources for Hyatt Hotels, where he began his career 10 years earlier. Over the course of his career with Hyatt, Ramirez served as the Director of Human Resources for hotels in Carmel, California; Seattle, Washington; and Phoenix. In addition to his human resources career, Ramirez has 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry.

Ramirez received a bachelor’s degree in hospitality administration from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, and  he received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Arizona State University. Ramirez and his wife, Lisa, have two children and reside in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
