Vice President of Government & Community Affairs

In December 2015, Ray Williams became Vice President of Government & Community Affairs at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Atlanta. Mr. Williams is passionate about the mission of CTCA®, enthusiastic about helping the people it serves and excited to tackle the political challenges of bringing innovative care options to as many patients as possible.

As Vice President of Government & Community Affairs, Mr. Williams works to protect and advance the hospital’s interests with legislative and governing bodies within Georgia. He also works to build and maintain relationships between CTCA and community-based organizations to further the hospital’s mission.

Mr. Williams has more than 30 years of experience in public affairs at the state, multi-state and federal levels and expertise in health care management. Prior to CTCA, he worked as Vice President of External Relations for Peach State Health Plan, where he created the External Relations division. He oversaw all strategic initiatives regarding state government relations, business development, marketing and communications, stakeholder management and community outreach. 

Mr. Williams received his bachelor’s degree in history from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala. He has been an active member of several charitable and leadership organizations, including United Way in Rockdale County and Georgia Charity Care Network.

Married to wife Susan Hammock Williams since 1983, the couple has two sons. In his free time, Mr. Williams enjoys playing golf, tennis and basketball. He’s also an avid fan of the Auburn Tigers.
