Lisa Keane

President of CTCA Medical Group

Ms. Keane joined CTCA Health in June 2019 as the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of CTCA Marketplace and now serves as the President of the CTCA Medical Group. She has more than 30 years of experience working in the health care sector, including in senior executive roles at several of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. Her positions have included Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation, Chief Operating Officer for the Brigham and Women’s Physicians Organization, Executive Vice President for Clinical Practice and Business Development at the University of  Chicago Medicine, and Administrator of the Department of Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia/University of Pennsylvania. She has also worked as a consultant serving a variety of academic clients.
                                                                                             
In various roles, Ms. Keane has had responsibility for directing the business and operations for groups of up to 1,000 physicians, including developing the strategies, operational and financial plans, and organizational structures to support these enterprises.  She’s had responsibility for  numerous functions, including finance, ambulatory operations, network development, budgets and planning, revenue cycle operations, managed care contracting, facilities services, human resources, and information technology. Ms. Keane has also provided administrative oversight of the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, participated in the development of a freestanding community cancer center in collaboration with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and conceptualized, designed, and implemented the Ideal Patient Experience, a comprehensive patient services and operational  program.

Throughout her career, Ms. Keane has been heavily involved in the leadership of several professional organizations, serving as the Chair of the Association of American Medical College’s (AAMC) Group on Faculty Practice,  President of the Academic Practice Plan Directors group, Chair of the University HealthSystem Consortium’s Group Practice Council, member of the AAMC Advisory Panel on Advancing the Academic Health System for the Future, and various positions with committees of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Keane has also delivered numerous professional presentations, primarily on the Ideal Patient Experience and various topics related to physician practice management. 

Ms. Keane has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in accounting and is a certified public accountant (retired). She started her career as a Staff Accountant at Price Waterhouse in Philadelphia, followed by several years as a Senior Internal Auditor at  West Jersey (now Virtua) Health System  in southern New Jersey. Ms. Keane has served on the Audit Committee of MD Anderson Services Corporation and MD Anderson Physicians Network, and on the Leadership Council for Elizabethtown College.
