Eric Magnussen is Senior Vice President of Talent for Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) and leads a national team of human resources professionals accountable for strategy, including talent attraction and selection, development, succession planning compensation, benefits and wellness and wellbeing for the 4,300-person, five hospital organization. The Talent team is responsible for ensuring CTCA® has a healthy, highly emotionally engaged, fully-performing Stakeholder in every role so that CTCA can pursue its quest to become the “Best Place to Work.”

Magnussen and his team most recently completed the company’s first integrated Leadership Development System that included a new performance management and talent review process for 120 executive and physician leaders. They also introduced a new job architecture structure that established consistent job titles, levels grades and career paths across the enterprise and consolidated more than 2,200 different jobs by 68 percent.

After joining CTCA in 2001, Magnussen worked in a variety of marketing-related roles, including database marketing, marketing communications, media strategy and event marketing prior to joining the Talent Department in 2010. 

Committed to giving back to his community, he currently serves as a member of the Florida Atlantic University (FAU) Business School Advisory Board in Boca Raton, Florida.  His previous volunteer efforts include supporting Habitat for Humanity and Junior Achievement, where he taught classes on business principles to high school students. 

Magnussen received his MBA degree at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in history from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana.
