David W. Scheible is Chairman and CEO of Graphic Packaging Holding, a $4.6 billion (NYSE: GPK) company headquartered in Atlanta, GA. He has been the chief executive since 2007. Graphic Packaging Holding is the world’s largest manufacturer of paper-based folding cartons for the consumer food and beverage markets, supporting global brands like AB, Coca-Cola, General Mills, Kellogg, Kraft, Miller Coors, Nestle, Pepsi Co., and many more. The company has more than 14,000 employees globally, makes 2.5m tons of paper in seven North American paperboard mills, and operates 70 converting plants and numerous sales and distribution centers in over 20 countries.
Scheible has held numerous executive leadership roles in the company, including President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations. He was previously affiliated with the Avery Denison Corporation in a variety of global operating roles spanning a 13-year career.  

He was recently named the 2015 North American CEO of the Year by RISI, the leading information provider for the global forest products industry. The award was presented to Scheible at the 30th Annual RISI North American Conference. Scheible was also named Executive Papermaker of the Year by PaperAge magazine. This award is based on corporate vision, strategic objectives and strong leadership both within the executive’s company and in the paper industry as a whole.
Scheible serves on the Board of Directors of Benchmark Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: BHE), a provider of integrated electronics manufacturing, design and engineering services, and on the Board of Flint Industries, a global manufacturer of printing ink and supplies. He serves on the Board of Cancer Treatment Centers of America and the Metro Area Chamber of Commerce where he was Chair of the education committee. He is a past Chairman of the American Forest and Paper Association (AF&PA). He was a 2013 winner of the E&Y Entrepreneur of the year in the Southeast for industrials.  

Scheible holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Purdue University and an M.S.I.A. from the Krannert School of Business at Purdue University.
