“Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) is different than some hospitals because of the implementation of an integrative, team-based approach,” says Dr. Yalda Soha, a licensed chiropractor and acupuncturist at our hospital in Phoenix. “Clinicians from different specialties work together to care for our patients every day.”

Dr. Soha obtained a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Riverside. She continued her education at Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS), where she obtained a doctorate of chiropractic degree and a master’s degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine.

While at SCUHS, Dr. Soha completed clinical internships at the University Health Center and its satellite clinics at Mount San Antonio College and California State University, Fullerton. She also participated in an externship to Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital in Taipei, Taiwan.

Prior to joining our team of cancer experts in May 2013, Dr. Soha ran a private practice that integrated chiropractic care and traditional Chinese medicine.

Dr. Soha is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Dr. Soha believes the most important aspect of being a clinician is listening to patients. She says, “By listening to my patients, I can properly diagnose and treat, and in the process, minimize unnecessary stress patients feel from their diagnosis.”

Patient Ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
