Experienced, licensed acupuncturist Jennifer Feingold loves being a part of the integrated team of cancer treatment providers at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA)  in Philadelphia.

“What I enjoy most about working at CTCA® is our patients,” she says. “They are eager to learn about all aspects of their healing and on all levels. They embrace the integrative model we have to offer. In turn, I feel they offer me an opportunity to get to know them during their journey. It is very rewarding and makes me proud of my job and my career.”

Feingold is nationally certified and designated as a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She earned a master’s degree in acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture in Newton, Massachusetts. She holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in biology from Temple University and the other in physician assistant studies from Hahnemann University, both in Philadelphia.

Feingold has a background in Western medicine, as she has served as a physician assistant in family practice and emergency medicine for a number of years. But she long sought after a healthcare facility where she could provide the various forms of acupuncture she studied and practiced for over a decade. In September 2007, she discovered the integrated healthcare setting at CTCA and joined the team.

“CTCA truly offers the best of both worlds,' she says. "We offer cutting-edge Western medicine combined with natural therapies that minimize side effects and allow for a better quality of life. And, we educate our patients on how to live a more health-conscious and aware lifestyle.”

Feingold explains of her approach to patient care, “I offer patients my knowledge and expertise in acupuncture and teach them about the strong mind-body-spirit connection Eastern medicine and philosophy offer. I encourage them to ask questions and I explain how acupuncture can help decrease chemotherapy and radiation therapy side effects so that they tolerate the cancer treatment as best they can.”

“I feel great when my patients leave their appointments with some relief from their pain or other side effects,” she adds.

Feingold practices traditional Chinese acupuncture and Japanese-style acupuncture. For 15 years, she has been practicing and studying meditation. She practices yoga and Qigong, and enjoys bicycling and traveling. Feingold speaks Spanish and Portuguese. She has traveled extensively in Central and South America, in addition to Southeast Asia. She enjoys meeting people from other cultures and learning their way of life.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
