Jarrett Stoll, Clinical Oncology Dietitian at Cancer Treatment Centers of America ® (CTCA), decided to apply his culinary talents toward health care during his first experience at a hospital café. “Maintaining good nutrition is a crucial part of any rigorous treatment process,” says Stoll. “I wanted to help patients with cancer use food to help them through this time.”

Stoll studied culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University, earning an Associate of Science degree followed by a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Nutrition. During his undergraduate years, Stoll worked as a nutrition service worker and cook at a regional hospital, preparing meals according to nutritional needs and cooking for the hospital café.

He completed his Master of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics, with a focus on clinical nutrition, at Saint Louis University. His training included an internship in dietetics at Barnes Jewish Hospital, SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – St. Louis, and St. Louis University Hospital.

Stoll joined CTCA® in November 2014. He provides dietetic recommendations to help manage symptoms of cancer, chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. He also assists patients in need of weight loss or other nutritional support. He integrates up-to-date nutritional information on specific foods and supplements to avoid or include in order to help minimize side effects and optimize health throughout treatment and afterwards.

When he is not at CTCA, Stoll enjoys cooking, baking, photography, being outdoors, being with friends, music, books and movies.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
