Daniel Osberg, Occupational Therapist at Cancer Treatment Centers of America ® (CTCA), Chicago, is dedicated to helping others find independence after cancer.  “My goal is to provide the optimal support and therapeutic treatments to help our patients develop specific life skills,” he says.

Osberg joined CTCA® in January 2016. He focuses on providing therapies designed to help patients regain autonomy. He also helps patients take steps to prevent and manage lymphedema, a common side effect of breast and other cancers. For Osberg, providing occupational therapy support to patients means treating the entire person.

From a young age, Osberg knew that a career in occupational therapy would enable him to follow his passion for helping others. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in occupational science and technologies at University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, and then completed a master’s degree in occupational therapy at the same university. He also holds a certification in lymphedema therapy from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.

Osberg has experience as an occupational therapist working with a diverse population of patients with varying diagnoses at other hospitals.

When he is not at CTCA, Osberg enjoys watching and playing sports, traveling and sight-seeing. He also enjoys time with his wife, cat and dog.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
