Chelsey McCauley is a Clinical Oncology Dietitian at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA), Phoenix. McCauley meets with patients to provide nutritional support and guidance throughout their cancer treatment. At CTCA®, she helps with diet management, education, symptom management and nutrition support. McCauley works with patients to restore digestive health, prevent malnutrition and address nutrient deficiencies.

“I try to truly connect with my patients, so I know how to best help them,” says McCauley. “I want my patients to feel comfortable with me so if they have questions about nutrition, need recipe suggestions, or are learning to manage a new diet, they don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I want to help in anyway that I can.”

McCauley is part of a multi-disciplinary team, that treats the cancer while addressing side effects to prevent treatment interruptions before they arise. She assesses and monitors patients’ nutritional needs to provide research-based nutrition advice. McCauley’s ultimate goal is to help each patient stay strong and nourished throughout the cancer journey.

McCauley graduated cum laude, from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in dietetics. She has nutrition-related clinical experience working in adult, pediatric and neonatal settings. Early in her career, McCauley developed a passion for oncology care.

Outside of CTCA, McCauley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her husband and yellow lab, Bowie. She also likes cooking, walking and spending time outside.

Patient ratings
Star ratings and comments are only available for medical, radiation and gynecologic oncologists. Gynecologic surgical offerings are not included at this time due to a different survey tool required to evaluate these services. CTCA uses a validated Press Ganey® survey, which captures patient experience feedback for the primary oncology services of chemotherapy and radiation therapy at our comprehensive care and research centers. Following industry best practice, star ratings and comments are only published for physicians with a minimum of 30 completed patient surveys.
