Andrea Shotton is a Clinical Oncology Dietitian at Cancer Treatment Centers of America® (CTCA) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Shotton joined CTCA® in July 2018, as a registered and licensed dietitian in the Nutrition and Metabolic Support Department. Working closely with patients, she helps address nutritional deficiencies and reduce cancer treatment-related side effects. 

“My goal is to help patients maintain good nutrition by educating them about healthy diets and providing personalized nutritional plans,” says Shotton. “The benefits of good nutrition during cancer treatment are numerous, including the ability to better tolerate cancer treatments and avoid treatment interruptions.”

In the outpatient department, Shotton provides patients nutrition screenings, assessments, interventions and goal-setting outlines to create individuated plans.

Shotton completed a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Tulsa in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She earned a master's degree in nutritional sciences from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Shotton has gained experience in a variety of health care settings. In addition, she has held academic positions and completed several research publications and presentations. Shotton is a member of professional organizations including the American Dietetic Association and Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Outside of CTCA, Shotton enjoys spending time with her husband and busy teenage children. The family likes attending sporting events and going to the movie theater together. During downtime, Shotton enjoys quilting, gardening and walking her two dogs.
